About Søms

Tradition, quality and sustainability since 1965

Søms is a company with deep roots in Danish craftsmanship and a strong tradition for quality. Our journey began in 1965 when Mette and Ole Søm founded the Søms Model and Mix-on garment factory.

Today, we are one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of cushions, delivering everything from single boxes to lorries full of our products, and we are proud to continue a long history of innovation and responsibility.

From clothing to pillow production

shifted focus to cushions

Although Søms started out as a clothing factory, we developed quickly and founded Søms Dynefabrik in 1991.

Over time, the focus shifted from duvets to pillows, and we have since specialised in producing innersprings for decorative pillows, which are sold to customers all over Europe.

Today, Søms is owned by Tommy Wulff Larsen, who has been part of the company since 1997 and knows the factory better than anyone else.

Efficient and flexible production

At Søms, we have the capacity to produce up to 28,000 cushions per day at our 6,400 m² factory in Lem.

Our production facilities are modern and optimised, ensuring consistent quality in all our products.

We continuously invest in new technology to meet our customers’ needs and ensure we always deliver reliable products – quickly and efficiently.

We deliver both small and large orders, from a single box to a truckload of 340 boxes, making us a flexible and reliable partner.

Certifications and sustainability

SUSTAINABILITY IS NOT JUST A BUZZWORD

Sustainability is not just a buzzword for us – it’s an integral part of our business.

Søms is certified according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, which ensures that our cushions are made without harmful chemicals.

We are also proud of the fact that our products contain recycled materials and that we follow strict standards for traceability and environmental impact.

We also comply with the strict UK fire requirements according to BS5852 Ignition Source 2, so our products are always safe to use in the home.

Social responsibility and diversity

At Søms, we not only take responsibility for the environment, but also for our employees.

Our company has been a diverse workplace for many years, with around half of our employees having roots abroad.

We have employees from countries such as Syria, Ukraine, Burma, Thailand, Romania, Sudan and Bosnia.

We work actively with integration and help our employees become part of both the labour market and Danish society.

Our mission

We strive to deliver the highest quality products and create long-lasting relationships with our customers through trust, flexibility and accountability.

Our commitment to sustainability, social responsibility and innovation makes us a trusted partner in a world where environmental and service demands are only increasing.

Innovation and vision for the future

Over the years, Søms has received numerous recognitions, including five Gazelle awards, which mark our continued growth and success in business.

We are constantly at the forefront of developments and adapt to market demands, whether it’s private label products, fast delivery times or sustainable production.
